Lotus blossoms
It's 1972. Team Lotus dominates F1. The only rival that makes road cars - Ferrari - lags behind. On the road, the situation for Lotus is worse. Offering what are effectively brilliant kit cars, Lotus is a local hero. But Ferrari is premier league. Elan and Europa are no match for Daytona and Dino.
Lotus wants to change that. Inspiration comes from a beautiful wedge concept proposed by Italian automotive designer, Giugiaro. Over three years, Lotus works with Giugiaro to develop the concept into a car Lotus can build. At the 1975 Paris Show the covers come off.
The Esprit, the first British supercar, is born.

“In every detail, we act as conservators – elevating the Esprit for a new era without sacrificing its soul.”

Our partners.
We focus our expertise where it matters most, and partner with world leaders where they excel. There is no value in reinventing what others have already perfected. Instead, we source the finest components available, each specified for its precision, performance, and harmony with our vision – ensuring every element of this car meets the highest standard possible.
